CPVA will provide training services for the European Commission

The European Commission (EC), looking for potential training providers for the European Union (EU) Member States and candidate countries, has selected a consortium of the European Institute of Public Administration (EIPA) and the Central Project Management Agency (CPVA). The training will be provided depending on the needs of the countries for the 2021-2027 programming period, according to a contract concluded with the EC.

“This decision by the European Commission is a significant recognition of our role as an expert agency. In the past, we have been actively involved in training for Member States ourselves. Later on, our experts became involved as trainers, sharing their knowledge and experience. Now we are moving to an even higher level of cooperation – institutional partnership”, says Lidija Kašubienė, Director of the CPVA.

Five senior and five junior CPVA experts have been selected to teach on the following training topics:

– Organisation of management and control of programmes financed by the European Fund for Strategic Investments,

– State aid,

– public procurement management and control, fraud and corruption prevention,

– strategic programming, implementation, monitoring and evaluation requirements,

– investment project preparation, Cost benefit analysis,

– Public Private Partnership (PPP).

The CPVA is expected to play a greater role in the implementation of activities in the EU candidate countries, where the CPVA already has a wealth of experience, with more than 20 years of experience in implementing international and development cooperation projects in Moldova, Georgia, Ukraine, Serbia and other countries.
