The Demining Capability Coalition aims to consolidate and coordinate existing and future donor support to Ukraine in the mine action area.
A support fund has been established to achieve the Coalition’s objectives. Its funds are used for the purchase of equipment and tools for demining in Ukraine.
The CPVA is appointed as the administrator of the Fund, carrying out the procurement and supervision of the procurement contracts and acting as the implementing agency.
The total budget of the Ukrainian Demining Coalition is approximately 50,000,000 euros.
The Demining Capability Coalition is lead by Lithuania (Ministry of National Defence of Lithuania) and Iceland.
Status
From the beginning of the Demining Coalition’s activities (September 2024) until January 31, 2025, the following have been purchased and delivered to Ukraine:
- 235 off-road vehicles;
- 240 mine detectors;
- 11 ambulances;
- 54 trucks;
- 142 blasting machines.
