On December 5-6 2018, EU Twinning project proposal preparation and implementation trainings took place in Vilnius. Trainings were attended by the employees of the public institutions of Lithuania and were conducted by the experts of the Central Project Management Agency.
During the training, CPMA experts shared their experience of EU Twinning project proposal preparation and project implementation. Participants had the opportunity to expand their knowledge about the procedures of the EU Twinning program, the stages of preparation of proposals, project selection and evaluation processes, the conditions of the EU Twinning agreement and various requirements for the implementation of project activities, as well as various aspects of expenditure and publicity. Twinning training was held according to the New twinning manual.
Trainings were a part of the project co-financed by the European Union structural funds “Improvement of implementation of Lithuanian development cooperation policy and strengthening capacities of Lithuanian public administration institutions and their employees”, which is carried out by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania together with the Central Project Management Agency.
Since 2010 CPMA provides international and national EU Twinning project proposals’ preparation and implementation trainings in which more than 600 participants were trained. Furthermore, CPMA has won 49 EU Twinning projects since 2009 when Lithuania started to participate in EU Twinning programme as a Member State and has administrated 125 projects while Lithuania was a Beneficiary country in the EU Twinning programme.
