The Road Infrastructure Agency representatives visited Lithuania from 25th to 26th of June. The aim of the study visit was to share experience and to learn Lithuanian practice on development of convenient and meeting inhabitants’ requirements transport infrastructure. Bulgarian delegation, composed of 12 participants, was introduced to the CPMA experience and knowledge in implementing and supervising projects in the field of transport funded by European Structural and Investment Funds.
The representative of the European Commission Mr. Marius Vašče presented the priorities and operational mechanism of the European Fund for Strategic Investments, while the representative of Invest Lithuania Mr. Tadas Jaginas presented, how Lithuania has succeeded in designing and implementing the Palanga bypass project by applying Public-Private Partnership model.
Guests also visited the Ministry of Transport and Communications, Lithuanian Road Administration under the Ministry of Transport and Communications as well as the Road and Transport Research Institute.
