Objective of the project

To replace the destroyed school by building a new  school with a bomb shelter in Zeleny Hai (Shevchenkivska Village Council, Mykolaiv region), which would function as both an educational institution and a community centre.

Project activities and status

A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between the CPVA, the municipality of Shevchenkivska, and the project partner, the NGO “Ukraine Resilience.   The technical specifications were prepared, the procurement process was carried out and the contract for the technical design of the school with a bomb shelter was signed.

The project includes organisation of workshops for children to learn about sustainable building materials, circular economy principles and the use of natural resources, as well as to experiment with mixing different materials in the creative process.

In March 2025, education and local government specialists from the Mykolaiv region of Ukraine visited Lithuania. The purpose of the visit, organised by the CPVA, was to share the experience of the Lithuanian education system and institutions with the guests.
