CPVA manages EHU Multidonor Trust Fund that seeks to consolidate donors‘ support and make it more transparent. CPVA also runs Technical Assistance programe to help EHU with efficient implementation of EHU Action Plan. CPVA experts facilitate EHU efforts in seeking study and research quality and becoming more self sustainable High Education Insitution.

Objective of the project

To contribute towards re-enforcing resilience to achieve civic empowerment and sustainable economic growth in Belarus.

Specific objective

To support EHU to implement an ambitious programme of change and development: consolidating the EHU’s profile and reputation for providing a high-quality learning and teaching experience, expansion of activities in the sphere of research, innovation and outreach.

Key results of the project

  • As part of the programme, the Multi-Donor Trust Fund was established and has since served as the central mechanism for coordinating international support. It enabled transparent management of resources, regular monitoring, and effective cooperation among partners, and continues to operate as a key instrument for sustaining coordinated donor engagement.
  • Despite a challenging regional context, EHU continued to provide students with access to a high-quality academic environment grounded in openness, critical enquiry, and international standards. The university advanced its institutional development plan, earned long-term accreditation, and continued to improve study programmes, research activities, and digital infrastructure. Student numbers grew steadily during the reporting period, and satisfaction surveys showed consistently positive evaluations of the learning experience.
  • The programme also provided targeted technical assistance to help EHU strengthen governance, modernise management systems, improve financial and administrative processes, and develop academic and digital solutions. By 2025, EHU had reached a level of operational maturity enabling it to manage most core processes independently, with external support shifting to an advisory role.
  • Overall, the Action successfully contributed to EHU’s ongoing development, helping the university enhance its academic offer, reinforce institutional resilience, and maintain a stable learning environment for its community.
