


Objective of the project
To strengthen State mine action operators in Ukraine in order to remedy exceptional and unforeseen situations as referred to in Article 4(4)(a) of Regulation (EU) 2021/947.
Project activities and status
The main activities of the project are under Component 1 “Equipment and support to State Mine Action Operators”:
- Identification of necessary equipment (incl. their technical specifications) and priorities;
- Public procurement;
- Contracting and delivery of equipment;
- Training on how to use the equipment, if necessary.
Main project activities under Component 2 “Support to strengthen humanitarian mine action in Ukraine”:
- Identification of priority needs for expertise;
- Appointment of necessary experts;
- Provision of consultations and preparation of needed documents.
Contracts are currently worth €17.17 million, with 90% of deliveries (€16.56 million). Following the amendment of the project contract, €18.4 million has been budgeted for the purchase of equipment.
