Objective of the project
To strengthen State mine action operators in Ukraine in order to remedy exceptional and unforeseen situations as referred to in Article 4(4)(a) of Regulation (EU) 2021/947.
Project activities and status
The main activities of the project under Component 1 “Equipment and support to State Mine Action Operators” are as follow:
- Identification of necessary equipment (incl. their technical specifications) and priorities;
- Public procurement;
- Contracting and delivery of equipment;
- Training on how to use the equipment, if necessary.
Main project activities under Component 2 “Support to strengthen humanitarian mine action in Ukraine” are as follow:
- Identification of priority needs for expertise;
- Appointment of necessary experts;
- Provision of consultations and preparation of needed documents.
At present, contracts have been concluded for EUR 19.329 million, and 98% of the goods have been delivered (worth EUR 18.767 million).
