Objective of the project

Bringing children back to school and ensuring a safe and secure live education process in selected schools by building 6 anti-radiation, dual-purpose shelters nearby.  

Project activities and status

    1. Selection of schools near which shelters will be built.
    2. Construction of shelters. 
    3. Procurement of equipment and furniture for the shelters.

1. Odesa region

The shelter will be built at Molodizhnei Lyceum, Prymorska St. 9, Molodizhne. A dual-purpose anti-radiation shelter with a capacity for 780 persons will be built. 

1.1. Technical design project correction services contract signed The technical design project has been prepared and a positive expertise report has been received.  

1.2. The construction contract was signed on 16/05/2024. Construction of the shelter was finished in April 2025.

 

 

2. Sumy region

The shelter will be built at Sumy School No. 27, Okhtyrska St. 33, Sumy. A dual-purpose anti-radiation shelter will be constructed.  

2.1. The technical design project has been prepared, and a positive expertise report has been received. 

2.2. The tender for the construction works will be launched in the second quarter of 2025.  

3. Mykolaiv region

The shelter will be built at Bashtanskyi Lyceum No. 2, Yuvileina st. 102, Bashtanka. A dual-purpose anti-radiation shelter with a capacity for 1,000 persons will be built. 

3.1. The technical design project has been prepared and a positive expertise report has been received.  

3.2. In October 2024, a call for tenders for the construction works was launched. The construction contract was signed in December, construction permit was received in February 2025, and the works started.

4. Chernihiv region

The shelter will be at Desnianskyi Lyceum Dovzhenka St., 34, Desna. A dual-purpose anti-radiation shelter will be constructed. 

4.1. The technical design project has been prepared, and a positive expertise report has been received.  

4.2. The tender for the construction works was launched and executed in February 2025. The construction contract was signed in April, and the project is currently awaiting a construction permit.

5. Zaporizhzhia region

The shelter will be built at Zaporizhzhia Lyceum No.99, Heroiv 93-i bryhady St, 13А, Zaporizhzhia. A dual-purpose anti-radiation shelter will be constructed. 

5.1. A technical design for the shelter is being prepared, with design work scheduled to begin in May 2025.

5.2. A tender for construction work will be announced and carried out in the third quarter of 2025.

6. Kharkiv region

The shelter will be built in Merefa, near the Perspektyva Lyceum, located at 87 Rugsėjo 5 Street.

6.1. The technical design of the shelter is being prepared, with design work scheduled to begin in May 2025.

6.2. In the third quarter of 2025, a tender for construction work will be announced and carried out.
