Position Announcement: EHU Trust Fund Advisor

Location: CPVA, Vilnius, Lithuania

Contract Duration: One year, with the possibility of extension.

Workload: Part-time (0.5 FTE)

Remuneration: 2700-3300 EUR per month depending on your competencies and experience (including all employment related taxes).

Reports to: CPVA / Assembly of Donors / European Commission

About the Role:

We are looking for a Trust Fund Advisor (TFA) to join the team supporting the European Humanities University (EHU) under the project EU4Belarus – Support to Advanced Learning and Training (SALT).

As TFA, you will work closely with the EHU Project Manager and the Rector of EHU, providing strategic and tailored technical support to the EHU Trust Fund. Your role will focus on fundraising, overseeing the implementation of the performance agreement, and offering technical guidance to help achieve its objectives.

You will work based on the agreed annual Action Plan. Preparation of the Action Plan will be coordinated with EHU Project Manager and approved by the SALT Team Leader.

This is a part-time role (0.5 FTE), offering flexibility and a chance to make a meaningful impact on higher education initiatives and strengthening democracy in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic & Financial Support:

  • Provide strategic guidance for the management and development of the EHU financing from the EHU Trust Fund.
  • Review the current EHU funding model and recommend improvements, including the integration of performance-based incentives.
  • Support the preparation of the Trust Fund’s annual narrative and audited financial reports.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to the Assembly of Donors and CPVA.

Fundraising Support:

  • Collaborate with the Rector to support and coordinate EHU donor engagement and fundraising efforts aimed at ensuring the financial sustainability of EHU.
  • Oversee EHU Fundraising strategy implementation and seek its’ quality.
  • Identify new funding opportunities and contribute to the development of proposals and outreach initiatives.

Performance Agreement Oversight:

  • Assist the EHU Project Manager in monitoring the implementation of the performance agreement and provide technical assistance as agreed in the Action Plan.
  • Identify potential risks and recommend corrective actions to ensure successful implementation.
  • Provide support in developing and executing cost-efficiency strategies for EHU.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication:

  • Maintain transparent, consistent communication with stakeholders to ensure alignment and build trust.
  • Support the EHU Project Manager in managing stakeholder relationships and communications.

What we’re Looking For

  • At least 10 years of experience in organizational and/or project management.
  • Strong background in fundraising and donor engagement.
  • Experience with higher education or international organizations is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Financial or economics qualifications are very important.
  • Experience with change management and trust fund administration is beneficial.
