Objective of the project
To strengthen Ukraine’s integrated national mine action governance capabilities.
Project activities and status
The insertion of additional national and international human resources and and expertise at the strategic and technical levels of the relevant Ukrainian authorities in charge of mine action.
During the project implementation period, it is planned to procure the services of a team consisting of 15 national (Ukrainian) and 1 international experts. The experts are expected to contribute to the improvement of mine action governance in Ukraine in the following areas:.
- Mine action strategy and policy development (including National Mine Action Strategy and Implementation Plan);
- Deregulation and re-engineering of business processes in mine action;
- Optimization of donor coordination processes in mine action;
- Digitalization and innovation of the mine action field;
- Strengthening communication about the mine action field.
