Objective of the project

To strengthen and support State mine action operators in Ukraine in order to remedy exceptional and unforeseen situations as referred to in Article 4(4)(a) of Regulation (EU) 2021/947.

Project activities and status

The main activities of the project under Component 1 “Equipment and support to State Mine Action Stakeholders / Operators” are as follow:

  1. Identification of urgent support to the State Mine Action Stakeholders/Operators, necessary equipment (incl. their technical specifications) and priorities;
  2. Public procurement;
  3. Contracting and delivery of equipment;
  4. Training on how to use the equipment, if necessary.

The main activities of the project under Component 2 “E Support to strengthen humanitarian mine action in Ukraine” are as follow:

  1. Identification of priority needs for maintenance of different type of the equipment and spare parts;
  2. Public procurement;
  3. Contracting and providing the services or delivering the spare parts.

Project implementation has begun.
