In July, the Central Project Management Agency (CPVA) joined a new Regional Working Group on Public-Private Partnership (PPP) and Public Procurement initiated by the U.S. Department of Commerce. This group includes representatives from the United States and seven Central and Eastern European countries.
The working group aims to encourage countries to share and adopt best practices for PPP projects. This way ensure they can attract the right investors, especially foreign ones, and enhance the success of their PPP projects.
The group will focus on evaluating, identifying, managing, and allocating risks associated with PPPs. They will also cover financial modelling for PPPs and analyse specific case studies.
Three meetings are planned for this year: the first in Prague, Czech Republic, from July 17-19, the second in Bucharest, Romania, in the fall, and the third in Budapest, Hungary, in the winter.
