Demining projects in Ukraine
On 24 February 2023, the European Commission’s Implementing Decision C(2023) 1308 on the Exceptional Assistance Measure (EAM) for Ukraine was adopted, which sets out that the Exceptional Assistance Measure (EAM) includes comprehensive support to the national mine action sector in the form of operational assistance to humanitarian demining by national operators.
Under this instrument, the CPVA acts as the implementing authority in the project:
On 9 March 2023, the European Commission’s Implementing Decision C(2023) 1624 was adopted for the financing of an individual instrument to address the EU’s foreign policy needs in strengthening the capacity of the integrated national mine action sector in Ukraine. The financing decision is a stand-alone instrument to address the EU’s foreign policy needs related to the strengthening of the management capacity of the integrated national mine action sector in Ukraine. The objective of the instrument is to strengthen the capacity for integrated national mine action sector management in Ukraine.

CPVA is also implementing another project for the demining of Ukraine funded by the private H. Buffet Foundation (USA).
